Some leaders use the word servant leadership as an explanation to lessen amount of genuine leadership activities they perform. Managing up is not leadership. As a "yes man" and taking orders can make you favored by the boss but won't help you improve your leadership skills or your leadership power in the long run. Doubt. It is not unusual to doubt yourself as an innovator. Doubt comes from feeling that you are not up for the task getting the one in charge.
